Of the 2.2 million singles in the Netherlands, 3 million are members of Relatieplanet.nl.

Also note that Lexa.nl (which is owned by Match.com) claims 1.6 million members - apparently, every 1 in 10 people over here is a member of Lexa. With such numbers, we don't need to subscribe to Match/Lexa - just address people in real life, there's a 10% chance that they are single & looking!

That's an easy one. On this planet there are only two. And I think it's a save bet we're looking for 'girls'. *Adds girls to the whiteboard.* Does this divide the pool in half...? Maybe, although I think it's save to say that the ratio isn't 50/50.. (needs more research)
Caucasian could a default choice. But personally, I'm not a racist. Eastern / asian girls are very appealing too. (I've been in the US and ironically, pretty much all the pretty girls there are immigrants from that area.. So it's save to say west is pretty much out.)
With the open borders in europe and from the further east, odds are you run into a cute blue haired japanese girl (yes, I watch too much anime, but this is my mathematical universe here!) are pretty good.
I'll be optimistic and say... 40%
Size, shape and measurements don't apply here, because attractive girls all look the same.
Location: Hometown parameters are important. Since we selected eastern, the closer to the east the better. However, large cities like Amsterdam have a Lot of different etnic groups as well. Not to mention entire districts full of primarily women.
Classic question: Does the Netherlands have any other cities? (Still in debate). Until that question is answered, putting a ratio to this is difficult. Any location is as well as the other..? Maybe not.
(i.e. there's no telling where you meet your SO...)
Key properties of a person:
There's seevral things you have to observe:
- Does she wear a ring / any jewelry?
If the potential lady in question does not wear a ring, odds are that she's single. However, if she doesn't wear any jewelry, that also could mean that she doesn't wear a ring despite the fact she's dating / married.
- Clothing:
Tricky one. But it's an interesting source of information about the character of a person. You'll learn by experience what clothing describes what character.
- Company. You're in a bar / dance and you see a girl enter with a group. The group is composed of only girls? 80% chance the girl's single. (Could be a lady's night out. Especially embarassing if it's the girl's bachelorette party... But I stress: observe the ring.)
- Girl's alone: Go for it!
- Girl's on the arm of a guy: There's slim odds that it's her brother: Don't go for it either way!
Lets say that, if you're not too picky, any 30 or 40% of all girls you see in a well respected bar falls in the caregories you select.
So of the 10% singles, we have 50% female. Which is 5% of the singles.
From the females, optimistically we have 40% of anything that we might find appealing. Which is 2%.
Not bad.
That's 1 out of 50 girls that would be a potential hit. (Not to confuse with a 'thwap'!)
On a relaxed night out, one could meet 2 or 3 girls, without looking desperate. (Lets stick with 2.)
Do some serious clubbing: Friday and Saturday that's 4 girls a week. Meet 50 girls in 12 or 13 weeks and you'll have a date! =)

Your presumption is that a full 100% of the available 40% of asian women are cute and blue-haired. Those in my class were neither.
But I have no time for you; I intend to make a post-mortal pass at the asian math teacher three graves to the right. With any luck, her hair will have been turned blue in death, as it never was in life.
